Robert Mcaffee

 Roberts Resume:
Over a thirty five year period Robert has participated in and conducted both one man shows and group shows. Though most have been for his watercolours, lately he has shown some oils. Those showings have involved various galleries and art organisations such as Brampton Visual Arts, The Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour associates show, Etobicoke Visual Arts, Mississauga Visual Arts, The office of Mayor Hazel McCallion (Mayor of Mississauga), and many others.
Robert is a self taught artist who's influences are first and foremost his Uncle Jack Reid, Tom Thompson, A.J.Casson, Mark Rothko and Monet.
For a seven year period between 1980 to 1987 Robert owned and operated a small sign lettering company in Toronto called "The Robert's Sign Co." This experience gave Robert considerable practice with brush use manipulation of the paint on various surfaces. It also was instrumental in his current ability to complete oil paintings in short periods of time.
It would be possible here on this page to list in detail the many achievments received, it is, however the wish of Robert not to do so.
"I feel that no credentials or past achievements should colour a persons reason for purchasing or enjoying my art. The painting must stand on it's own. It must stand on it's own merit. There have been many great artists who have never set foot into an established school of art, or sat in the presence of some great masters, but have produced works of considerable merit and significance. I strive for that. To know that my painting has moved you in a way that is not influenced by the education I did or did not have is of utmost importance to me."
